Elise Schneiter started playing Volleyball in the 7th grade for Kourtney Kohlman and her Aunt, Alika Skaggs. Prior to playing, Elise had only ever watched the sport and admired the players’ skills. Elise loves volleyball because of the constant jumping and movement on the court. One of her favorite parts of the game is the positive atmosphere and being able to celebrate both team and individual success.

In high school, Elise mostly played middle blocker, but also enjoyed the opportunity to hit outside. This season, Elise will be playing for 16U Florence, an independent club team.

Besides playing volleyball, Elise also plays basketball and softball. She enjoys spending her favorite season, summer, on the water and participating in sports without having school responsibilities. Some other fun facts, Elise’s favorite food is seafood, her favorite movie is Pitch Perfect, you can always catch her singing along to it. Her current favorite song is Where We Are by the Lumineers, but it changes day to day.

Elise’s goal for the upcoming club season is to have a consistent tough serve and to improve her ball control and placement when hitting.

Kylei Adams is a Middle Blocker that plays for Zootown Volleyball. She started playing volleyball at the age of 9 and joined Zootown Volleyball in 2018. Kylei is a team player who loves the sport of volleyball as it brings her so much joy, from meeting new people, gaining more experience, and watching players grow from a young age to compete in the Olympics.

My favorite volleyball player is my sister, Seattle. I think she is the coolest volleyball player, she always stays positive when she loses a match and she cheers for her team. Her spikes are really amazing and one day I hope I can be just like her.

Besides volleyball, Kylei enjoys participating in track, competing in events such as hurdles, high jump, and long jump. She plays basketball from time to time and also really likes to sing. She loves the song called, Polaroid Love. Some other fun facts, Kylei’s favorite food is a Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendys and her favorite book, right now, is called the Comfort Book, by Matt Haig.

Kylei’s goal for the club volleyball season is to improve her hitting skills, serves, and playing with more confidence.

Dylann Agnew started playing volleyball in middle school. When she found out her school had a volleyball team she decided to try it and ended up loving the sport. As she grew to love the game, she found it to be an incredible source of stability for her emotional health.

Dylann began to realize with time that when she played volleyball all of her stresses, sadness, and anger disappeared and all that mattered was having fun and playing the sport. It helped her work on her confidence not just in volleyball, but in life. Being able to have some discipline and organization in her life has been so helpful. Being around the girls who play with her has helped her come out of her shell and really learn who she is. She'd love to play college volleyball one day and really does believe she has the drive to do it.

We, at Dig Missoula, are so happy for the opportunity to help Dylann pursue her dream.

Kylie Lunday came to Missoula via Las Vegas from a modest upbringing. She was not able to participate in extracurricular activities in Nevada. So when she moved to Missoula as a child and her father signed her up for sports through the YMCA, she finally found her niche. She played basketball, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, anything she could get into. Her dad stopped her at football. She and her brother would spend their evenings playing basketball at the Y and she excelled in that sport.

It wasn’t until her sophomore year of high school that she was approached by the basketball coach and an opportunity was presented to her that would change that path. He told her that she should give volleyball a try. She made it to the last day of tryouts and made the Junior Varsity team at Hellgate High School.

She spent the next two years growing her love for the game and became an all-state player for the Knights. During the summer and the fall of her senior year, she would find herself at Bonner Park with her friends, approaching the adults playing grass volleyball asking if she could play. She became a regular at those pick up games, looking for any opportunity to play again.

This year, Dig Missoula selected Kylie Lunday as our local Club Scholarship recipient. Her goal is to continue her volleyball career into college. Dig Missoula is honored to help her achieve that goal.
